At Red-y Retrievers, we offer training for dogs of all levels, working with young dogs as well as advanced retrievers.
We invite owner participation, and keep you apprised of your dog's progress.
Our goal is to provide you with a retriever that YOU can work with.
During training, dogs are exposed to guns, birds, boats, decoys, and water.
At the intermediate level, we work to get your dog steady and consistently retrieving to hand.
Begnning lining drills for handling are also emphasized. The advanced training sessions focus on multiple marked
retrieves and pattern work for handling and blind retrieves.
Randy and his wife, Vicki, together with sons Joel and Scott, work together to ensure the dogs in their care
are well cared for while in training. As a family, the Gohmans hunt each fall for both waterfowl
and upland game birds. They know what qualities are needed for a great retriever, and strive to bring out the
best in each and every dog they work with.
